Here is an example of the differences in first kid parenting and third kid parenting. With my first kid I went in the Chick-fil-a playground to help with climbing, sliding and overall merriment. The third kid is sent in with his older brother to fend for himself while I sit at a table judging the other parents who also have sent their kids into the Thunderdome (and type this).

Oscar's Best Picture Nominee Viewings
With the recent airing of the 88th Academy Awards, I decided to review how many of the Best Picture nominees I've seen. Of the 88 esteemed winners, I've seen them all at least one time. However, once I completed that task I decided to take it upon myself to try and view all the nominees in the most prized category of the Oscars.
In total there are 528 films that have been nominated for Best Picture. This might alarm some, but I have managed to watch all but seven of those films. The seven I am lacking are very hard to find and even with watching over the Turner Classic Movies broadcast schedule like a hawk I have still not been able to find a single airing of the seven screenings I lack.
Each year I try to set a goal to finish the list of 528 movies, but it seems that the few I'm missing are so rare I would have to buy them on DVD (if available) or find a bootleg version somewhere. Maybe 2016 is the year when I finally get the list complete. But then again, maybe not ...
