For the second week in a row Marvel has won the box office with its 18th feature, Black Panther. It has garnered universal praise from critics and audiences alike. While I did really enjoy the movie, I do think it was a little over-hyped, but you have to wonder if there was any way it couldn't be. Black Panther isn't just the first African-American-led superhero movie for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but most of its cast is made up of black actors from around the globe as well as several key crew members are black. This well-crafted film isn't just another multi-hundreds of millions of dollars project for Marvel, but something the African-American community has been anticipating for a very long time. And it ends up being something they should be extremely proud of as it is a spectacle to behold.
