The new baby is not yet here. In fact, he wasn't scheduled to be here until the end of this month, but a recent sonogram revealed him to be rather small for how far along he should be at this point and the doctor is worried enough to possibly induce Joanna into labor. The thinking is that if he isn't getting the nutrition he needs on the inside, they can provide him the proper nutrition outside.
We were told he is currently in the ninth percentile in weight, which is a little scary, but in the grand scheme of things this is a minor problem and neither Joanna nor Sawyer are in great danger. We have a doctor's visit again tomorrow and a final decision will be made as to when Sawyer is delivered. By this time next week there could be a new addition to the Cook family. We will see.
